Villages
Villages is a set of removable ceramic seasoning containers designed for the table. The containers can be arranged in different combinations, so users define the service function themselves. Placed together on a plate, the containers form a small village scene that turns the food setting into a landscape. The set is made in Jingdezhen from high temperature porcelain, which is safe, nontoxic and suitable for use in a microwave oven. The intention is to bring warmth and enjoyment to daily dining.
Villages Multifunctional Ware by JiaYi Cai was selected as an exceptional illustration of industrial design by the A' Design Award. Villages Multifunctional Ware was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Bakeware, Tableware, Drinkware and Cookware Design in 2020. The A' Bakeware, Tableware, Drinkware and Cookware Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design accolade which rewards excellent design of pots, pans, cutlery, plates, bowls, glasses, baking dishes, graters and more.
