Focus
Focus is a portable ceramic tea set for preparing and drinking tea. The set is divided into two parts, a single pot and a single cup, which join into one compact form that is easy to carry. The appearance is based on a camera lens, with a bright raised structure at the centre of the upper and lower parts. Focus is made of traditional Chinese porcelain clay with a bright glaze and a frosted outer glaze, formed by ceramic firing. A screw thread and a double layer wall reduce the risk of scalding, and the spout gives a smooth flow of water.
Focus Teaset by Luo Ranyi was recognized as a grand illustration of industrial design by the A' Design Award. Focus Teaset was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Bakeware, Tableware, Drinkware and Cookware Design in 2020. The A' Bakeware, Tableware, Drinkware and Cookware Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design prize which rewards superior design of pots, pans, cutlery, plates, bowls, glasses, baking dishes, graters and more.
