Interview with Mehmet Savas : Frank Scott: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?. Mehmet Savas : Everything started with the idea to do a different faucet.And we look at nature.We have seen that branches off from the water drops. .Frank Scott: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?. Mehmet Savas : The focal point was the anatomy of the branch.For to design a different body .Frank Scott: What are your future plans for this award winning design?. Mehmet Savas : I want to design a reality. .Frank Scott: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?. Mehmet Savas : about 3 months .Frank Scott: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?. Mehmet Savas : I know that nature is diverse and unique.And that inspires me .Frank Scott: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?. Mehmet Savas : Yes,I want that. .Frank Scott: What made you design this particular type of work?. Mehmet Savas : Users who prefer unique outlooking for their living quarters wants details in there to be unique and different,too. We designed the faucet,Stick,for people who love reflecting their styles with objects they have. .Frank Scott: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work?. Mehmet Savas : when I was make steps of the design.My team member was help to me.Thanks so much for her. .Frank Scott: Who is the target customer for his design?. Mehmet Savas : interior architects .Frank Scott: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?. Mehmet Savas : Thin and knotted character of branches is reflected on Stick's appearance.Together with this character, the color contrast between the body and handle make Stick looks uniqe and esthetic. .Frank Scott: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?. Mehmet Savas : name appeared from thin tree branch .Frank Scott: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project?. Mehmet Savas : only pencil and paper for to sketch stage,than use the 3d programs .Frank Scott: What is the most unique aspect of your design?. Mehmet Savas : spout and joystick format .Frank Scott: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills?. Mehmet Savas : I met with some battery manufacturers for technical details. .Frank Scott: What is the role of technology in this particular design?. Mehmet Savas : stick featured product with a different format .Frank Scott: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design?. Mehmet Savas : Users who prefer unique outlooking for their living quarters wants details in there to be unique and different,too. We designed the faucet,Stick,for people who love reflecting their styles with objects they have.. .Frank Scott: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?. Mehmet Savas : we want to be all faucet body of thinner character. Because of the standard cartridge sizes.Body shape has changed. .Frank Scott: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?. Mehmet Savas : The most prestigious international A'Design award competition organization, we wanted to prove that we believe in the value of design. .Frank Scott: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work?. Mehmet Savas : we have examined the award-winning products.While designing and from them he learned many details .Frank Scott: Any other things you would like to cover that have not been covered in these questions?.
